Aquatrol Telemetry Products

CrosStar offers up-to-date, newly designed equipment to replace and extend the function of your existing Aquatrol installed equipment. This new equipment provide the opportunity to expand and open the architecture of your Aquatrol system, allowing you to use any of the popular SCADA software packages to upgrade your current systems. If you have another vendor's system, CrosStar Aquatrol Telemetry Products will readily intermix with those, so you do not need to replace the whole system to add capacity.

Because the owners of CrosStar were part of the original design team at Aquatrol on the W1300 and W1500 systems, complete interoperation between CrossStar's Aquatrol Telemetry Products and the existing equipment is assured.

The MD-101 Bell 202 Modem is a half-duplex Frequency-Shift-Keyed (FSK) audio tone modem compatible with Aquatrol's W1500 Telemetry Protocol. The MD-101 Modem operates from 0 to 1200 baud on private leased telephone lines, voice/audio radio links, or any dedicated two wire circuit. Both 2-Wire and 4-Wire 600 ohm telephone lines are supported along with most land mobile radios. The MD-101 is powered by 12 VDC to make operation during power failure simple. CrosStar’s ATU Advance Telemetry Unit, with built-in W1500 Protocol support, can easily be configured to replace Aquatrol W1500 RTUs in existing remote telemetry panels or used in new remote sites as additions to existing W1500 telemetry systems. The ATU has been tested in both existing Aquatrol ProSoft systems and other SCADA computer systems offering W1500 telemetry support.

Modular in design, the ATU incorporates state of the art technologies in manufacturing, communications, controls, and serviceability. Configuration is simple and fast with CrosStar's Windows based ATU Advocate software.

As a cost effective replacement for the standard W1500 remote units, CrosStar can provide the ATU mounted on a optional sub-chassis with terminal strips and wiring harnasses that directly replaces the W1500 remote board. Please contact a CrosStar Sales Office for details.

Because of limited demand and the unavailability of several key integrated components, the following W1300 products have been discontinued. Repair service is still available but limited to parts availability.

The RT-100 Remote Terminal Unit is a small RTU that communicates with all CrosStar and Aquatrol W1300 masters, and serves as a direct drop-in replacement for the Aquatrol T2016-XXX RTU. The RT-100 is a general purpose RTU with two inputs, 5 outputs, 24 programmable I/O lines, and one analog input. Rocker Switches select the operation, which includes all modes of the original T2026, plus several new options. Communication is at 300 Baud using Aquatrol's 2150/2350 FSK tone standard. The MT-200B W1300 Master Modem is a external Aquatrol W1300 Master station modem that communicates to all existing W1300 RTU's. Connects to any computer using RS-232C, the MT-200B looks like a A-B PLC-5 talking DF-1 (Data Highway). This allows you to add or replace a central computer with ANY desired SCADA/MMI software package WITHOUT a special driver. The MT-200 W1300 Master Station is a direct plug-in replacement for the Aquatrol T2033 card rack master, and provides the original Master I/O control functions for both styles of Aquatrol I/O Racks and Cards. In addition, the MT-200 connects to any computer using RS-232C communicating just like an A-B PLC-5 using DF-1 (Data Highway). This allows you to add or replace a central computer using any SCADA/MMI software package without a special driver.
